My whole life I have been fascinated with how things work. When I was young, I would sit in the car for hours trying to determine the function of each button and knob. My curiosity has translated directly to my passion for computer science as I continue to push myself to learn more about all aspects of full-stack development. Through this, I have found an interest in machine learning and big data because of the intriguing use of computers to find patterns in data that humans would not have seen otherwise. I hope to continue to learn more about the everchanging field of computer science as I progress in my career!

This website! As my first attempt at front-end, I built this personal webiste using React.js and deployed it using Github pages. This is an ongoing side project where I hope to add content as I learn more about front-end development.

Chicago Transportation
Chicago Transportation is an analysis over a Chicago Taxi dataset (72gb). I used Apache Spark in Scala to apply a few machine learning algorithms to the dataset on a local distributed system. I produced a writeup that is on the gitub page with my results. I hope to pick this project back up and connect the taxi dataset to other Chicago transportation datasets.
